Case study, Average-In (avgi) strategy: Investview (INVU)

  3. INVU shares had already risen to as high as $0.185, an increase of 517% from ShinyPennyStocks.com’s price limit of 0.03 when the shares were initially recommended on July 18, 2019.

Note.  ShinyPennyStocks.com has published six price limit changes since INVU shares were initially recommended at a $0.03 price limit on 07/18/19.  See chart below. 

On 01/05/21, the price limit for INVU shares was increased from $0.05 to $0.1575, via the implementation of the Average-in price limits strategy.  The increase in the limit price had a caveat in that the purchasing of a full or 100% stake at the raised limit price was not recommended.  Under the average-in subscribers were recommended to purchases less than a full stake and to maintain a cash reserve to be prepared to purchase the shares at a lower price.  The strategy, which is depicted in a chart at the bottom of the page, included the following average-in (avgi) buy limits to establish a 100% stake in INVU shares:

  1. 25% of stake at current (1/5/2021) market price.  Since the high price on 1/5/2021 was $0.1575, the cost basis for the initial 25% of the position was $0.1575.
  2. 50% of stake at a limit price of $0.10.  The share price subsequently traded at $0.10 on (1/27/2021) and also on (1/28/2021).
  3. 25% of stake at a limit price of $0.09.  Share price reached $0.085 on March 5, 2021.

Due to all of the shares being purchasable at or below the price limits every subscriber was able to establish a full or 100% stake in INVU at a maximum price of $0.118 at 03/05/21. The average-in strategy reduced the cost basis by 29% for a full (100%) INVU position versus purchasing all of the shares at the 01/05/21 high of $0.1575. Note. Subscribers prior to 12/23/20 acquired full stakes in INVU at ShinyPennyStocks.com limit prices ranging from $0.015 to $0.05.

ShinyPennyStocks.com, in its 11/5/21 update entitled “Investview shares, Screaming ‘BUY’!” lowered its limit to purchase INVU shares to $0.10 for a full 100% stake.

The chart below also depicts that SP analysts are pro-active to adjust price limits during periods of extreme share price volatility.    After initiating original price limit of $0.03 on 07/18/19, price limit was lowered to $0.015 on 07/28/19 and then raised to $0.022 on 08/13/19.   Finally, price limit was raised to $0.05 on 12/06/19.
